YPG Hunting Access Passes for the 2026-2027 season are now available!
We have a big change this year. YPG is now offering a $10 Adult Small Game/Scouting permit. If you do not have a Deer or Bighorn tag and only want to hunt small game or assist in scouting a hunt you do not have to purchase the $35 Hunting Assess Pass. If you do have big game tags, then the Adult $35 Hunting Access Pass covers you for your Deer or Sheep hunt as well as small game and scouting.
As always permits for Seniors, Minors, and Disabled are eligible for FREE Hunting Access Passes.
This is NOT the site for the Barry M. Goldwater Range. This site only covers the US Army Yuma Proving Ground

THIS SITE IS THE OFFICIAL SOURCE TO OBTAIN ALL HUNTING PERMITS ON YUMA PROVING GROUND. ALL INDIVIDUALS SEEKING A PERMIT MUST HAVE AN ISPORTSMAN ACCOUNT.
When you register, be sure to include your full name as it is stated on your driver’s license or state issued ID. Do not use nicknames or shortened names or there may be delays in processing your background check.
Follow these steps to get your hunting access pass
- Watch the hunter safety briefing video and take the quiz. After you pass the quiz you must still wait for security approval before you will be eligible for permits.
- Watch your email for approval from the YPG security team. Once they have completed your background check, you will receive an email.
- When you receive the approval email, Log-in to your iSportsman account and click “Acquire Permit”
- Select the permit you want and click “Add to Cart”
- Review and accept the acknowledgements, check “I agree” and “Save”
- Click View Cart and Checkout.

- Print Permit
Remember, after taking the Range Safety Quiz, you must wait 10 business days, to receive an email from the Yuma Proving Ground security team approving your account (Background Check). You can then log in to your account to acquire the hunting access pass and weapons registration permit. If you don’t see the email notification, check your bulk mail folder.
Permits will not show as available until you receive the approval email from security.
Adult Hunting Access Pass is $35 for Adults 18-64. Adult Small Game/Scout Only Pass is $10. Hunting access pass is free to Minors 17 and younger, People 65 and older, and persons with disabilities
Please note that YPG does not issue permits for Off Highway Vehicle Recreation.

Hunter's Checklist
When hunting on YPG, all persons must have the following:
- Hunting Access Pass. Required for all members of hunting party. A copy must be in your possession, electronic or paper, and must be presentable to law enforcement.
- Weapons Registration. All weapons, including rifles, bows and side arms must be registered. A copy of the registration must be with the weapon while on YPG. Only persons who are hunting and have a valid AZGFD hunting license with necessary tags may carry a weapon on YPG.

You must CHECKIN to your hunting area through your iSportsman account when entering the range and CHECKOUT at the end of each day when you are finished.
Log into your iSportsman account and click Checkin/Checkout.

If you plan to camp overnight while hunting on YPG, you will need to call Range Control for overnight clearance. Remebmer you will need to check into iSportsman for your hunt the next morning.
